Shrine is a contemporary dance piece, performed in the round.

Conceived by Matthew Barnes/Forest Swords and choreographed by Carmel Koster, the piece is set to music that is created almost exclusively from breath and body sounds digitally pieced together into beats, rhythms and movements. The score played back at concert volume combined with the physicality of the dancer up close forces the audience to explore the innate connectivity between their own physicality, breath, body and its relation to sound and frequencies.
